National Association of Skull Base Surgeons San Antonio

American Surgical Company was happy to be part of the NASBS show in San Antonio, TX this month at the La Cantera Resort & Spa. A special thanks to President Ricardo Carrau, MD and Dr. James Evans for having us! The mission of the National Association of Skull Base Surgeons is to “promote dissemination of information about diseases involving the skull base, including the anatomy, physiology, pathology, and clinical management, in order to facilitate coordinated excellence in the delivery of care to patients and to promote advancement of the scientific basis for treatment of patients with skull base disorders.”

Every February we go to promote our Delicot and Telfa neuro patties as well as our Ray-Cot patties. It’s an invaluable opportunity to network and learn from the top surgeons in neurosurgery and otolaryngology (ENT).

This year our neuro patties were used in the injury model lab that allows residents, fellows or surgeons to practice their techniques. The Injury model lab was carotid artery injury model practice, endoscopic transpterygoid approach. Fellows and residents in teams of two took turns sharpening their skills. We’re always grateful to be a part of such a wonderful event and look forward to being there next year!
