About the Bonaventura Neurosurgical Award (BoNA)
The name Bonaventura references an “adventure” filled with goodwill and fortune. In Catalan, “Bona” means “good,” and the term embodies the hope that participants will have a rewarding experience as they expand their knowledge and skills while contributing to groundbreaking neurosurgical research.
Through the BoNA, three talented candidates will be selected to join the Johns Hopkins community for a transformative period of learning and research. The award recipient winners speak to the growing need to build stronger international relationships and share valuable knowledge across borders.
How to Apply to The Bonaventura Neurosurgical Award
Eligible students are invited to submit their applications via the newly created application email address. As part of a fair and thorough selection process, a dedicated committee will review all submissions and select three top candidates for interviews. The application deadline is January 15, 2025, and those selected for the next round will be informed by May 1, 2025. The final decision will be made on April 1, 2025. Interviews will be conducted virtually.
